In 1944 a retired clerk in England named Anthony Pratt invented a game called Murder, inspired by time spent in country hotels where evenings entertainment included murder mystery games. Actors and hotel guests performed as characters in a plot which involved the death of one or more players. This luxurious beekshelf edition was inspired by the vintage graphics of the 1975 game.
